According to a recent Consumer Reports survey about stuff that annoys people daily, with a 10 being “annoys tremendously”, survey takers rated the failure of a human being on a customer service line an 8.6! Never wait on hold again is the mantra for LucyPhone! I don’t know about the Nation of Hypeness, but I know I hate waiting, especially on the phone! LifeHacker said it best:

Elevator jazz, assurances of “unusual call volumes,” having to leave your phone on speaker mode—waiting on hold stinks.

Well thank hypeness for this new FREE service, LucyPhone, that also has a FREE iPhone app! You can either go to their website or use the iPhone app (they both function pretty much the same). First, find the company you are trying to call in their database.

If you can’t find the company you are looking for, you can also dial a number. Next, give Lucy a number to reach you at when the wait is over and she will ring you back! Lucy Phone has revolutionized the dreadful idea of having to call customer service lines! A couple other really cool apps for making 1-800 calls a little more tolerable are Fonolo and Dial Zero! These apps won’t wait on hold for you like LucyPhone, but they are definitely worth checking out!
